The Shared Land Celebration

This one-of-a-kind Canada 150 celebration is a unique opportunity to hear about all the people who have shared this land over the last 2,000 years. Special presentations on The Doctrine of Discovery, the Treaties, Tipi & Medicine Wheel Teachings, Truth and Reconciliation, The Métis Story, and multicultural storytelling will be available from a number of well-known presenters including Joseph Naytowhow, Karen Shmon, Dick & Norma Byrd, Henry Big Throat, Harold Jiggs Main, Steve Heinrichs and Lyndon Linklater. Storytelling events will take place all weekend long and the event will come to a conclusion on Sunday with a celebration of prayers and music at the site of the Prayer Stone and pow wow dancers back at the centre. Stone Carving with Bill Epp

Artist, William Epp, will be offering an introductory course on stone carving June 3rd, 2017 from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Here you'll learn the best kinds of stone for carving, equipment needed, and an overview of this artistic method. The cost of the workshop is only $10 per person.
